lost season

Multimedia Theatre (in development)

In 1994, after five scrappy seasons on cable access television, the cult hit ‘Agent Faraway: Ghost Detective’ was on the verge of its primetime network debut—and TV immortality. After shepherding dozens of lost souls to the afterlife, longtime fans were eager to learn if Agent Faraway would finally encounter the spirit of his own missing father…and the closure he craved. But behind the scenes, network executives and the show's eccentric creator clashed. Then the cast was bafflingly replaced by ‘Auto Star Marionettes,’ android actors who couldn’t nearly deliver on their developer’s promise of a “perfect simulation of real-life.” Finally, the studio caught fire…and the climactic final season of Agent Faraway was lost to time.

Now, 30 years later, diehard fans of this forgotten TV classic have assembled an interactive fan exhibition chronicling the cursed development history of the show.

They’ve also acquired six malfunctioning Auto Star Marionettes, which will creak to life…and play for you the last corrupted fragments of that lost season…

What follows is like a ghost story embedded in a ghost story…a memorialization of an obscure artist that time forgot…but we remember…
